snails see the benefits

have you ever had the feeling of being restless?
right now it's friday night, and i'm at home. but all i feel like doing is getting in the car and just going. i don't even know where. it is such a strange feeling. i guess it could be that usually i am out doing something on friday nights, and tonight i'm just sitting at home. i need to come up with something to occupy myself.
so since it is friday, that means that there are five days left of school before winter break. i'm really excited. winter break is always fun because everybody is in a good mood for the holidays. and it might snow! and of course not having school is nice too. haha. this week has been very stressful, and i think everybody is ready for a break. i'm also looking forward to going to a concert next tuesday. so excited! vampire weekend, 30 seconds to mars, phoenix, metric, and muse. ! i have to say that i am most excited for vampire weekend though, because they are actually one of my favorite bands. but its all going to be great.
so i downloaded this really cool thing called poladroid, which takes your photos and makes them look like polaroid pictures. its just about the coolest thing ever.

im just sitting on the shelf

the other day i went to the seattle center with my friend jee young. it was pretty fun. we actually went down to get extra credit for our spanish class, but we only stayed at the mexican festival, or the Fiestas Patrias, for like ten minutes. then we went to imax and saw cloudy with a chance of meatballs, in 3D. the movie was really good actually, and really funny. after the movie we hung out at the fountain for a while, and i got wet. we spent the whole day in seattle, it was pretty great.

but i know one thing, that i love you

this may look like a stump, but it is actually cardboard!
cool paper architecture.
this is a way cool mural, made out of trash.
today, i had no seventh period, it was so nice to get home earlier than three. but i don't know what bus i ride or anything, and as i am trying to figure out which bus to get on, they all leave. i was going to walk, or wait for my mom, but my friend david is too nice and drove me home. i should really get my license, and then i can drive him home one day. it was so nice of him because i live nowhere near him at all, but apparently he didn't mind.
the pictures are from bumbershoot at this really cool art exhibit. it was nice because it was inside, and the morning we went it was pouring.

me and your daughter, hotter and hotter

hey marseilles. totally amazing. and me and my friends got to meet them after the show.
the yeah yeah yeahs
the black eyed peas. im not a major fan, but my brother wanted to go.
franz ferdinand! they were so good live, my favorite concert of monday.

i haven't posted in a while, but that is because school has started, and now i am way more busy. over labor day weekend i went to bumbershoot, which is the best music festival in seattle. franz fredinand, jason mraz, modest mouse, natalie portman's shaved head, telekinesis, yeah yeah yeahs, and a ton ton more. i had so much fun, three days of music, and hanging out with friends in seattle center.

in the daylight anywhere feels like home

this is a picture of a peach pie that my mom made yesterday. it was really pretty, not to mention also tasty!

i cant decide whether i like this picture better in black in white, or color.
i really like the fair. lots of rides, animals, people, food. its great. i think my favorite ride is the one where you pretty much sit in a basket, and you all swing around. but then the ferris wheel is also pretty cool.
i have three days left of summer, including today. i cant believe that its over.

i saw you, it was incredible

wow. i am typing this from a mac now. very weird. my family just got this new computer, and it has this really fancy keyboard. its totally cool though. but its going to take a while for me to figure out how to upload my pictures again.
school is less than a week away. i cant believe it. i love summer, and sometimes i wish summer would go on forever. but then at the same time, i am really looking forward to seeing all of my friends again. school this year should be great, but my classes are going to be way tougher.
last week i went to a baseball game with a couple of my friends. it was alot of fun. its funny because i don't understand baseball at all. i have always thought that it was somewhat boring. but then i know football, and basketball, and i play soccer.
the other day i finally made these bottle cap necklaces, that i have been wanting to make forever. and they actually turned out really cool! so now i am going to make a ton more, and give them to all of my friends.

tonight's going to be a good night

well, i haven't posted in a while. i have been busy though, i guess.
today im going to the fair. im really excited. the funny part is, is that my mom told my brother that we are going to an arts and craft fair, and so he keeps complaining. when in reality we are going to the fair, with rides and food and animals, etc. he just doesnt know that yet, haha.
sorry about the lack of pictures. i have a ton on my camera, that i just havent put on the computer yet.

nobody said it was easy

so, I'm in the marching band at my school. cool, i know. and this week is band camp. before school starts we all have to get together and get ready. band is actually a big deal at my school; there are 160 people in band this year. i play the tenor sax, and its actually a ton of fun. all of my friends are in band, and we have had so many good times. band actually becomes this big family of people, and its great to know alot of people before school starts. last year was alot of fun, i just hope that this year is as much fun.

i've become one with the ones, that i've never believed in

yesterday i went on a bike ride with my friends. it was pretty fun. and we stopped at the playground, which i enjoyed. i have always loved playgrounds.

wow i just realized that this is my 50th post. exciting!

we're feeling so good, just the way that we do

the other day i went downtown. i always think downtown is really exciting. we went to the art museum, and pike place market. a tourist in my own town, hahaha.

today i am going to a friends birthday party. im pretty excited.
i cant believe that its already august. this year is going by so fast.

we'll fill the metro skies with country air

i really enjoy summertime. when you don't have anything to do, or anywhere to be. sure, it does get boring. but i always find something to do. i spend alot of my time reading. this morning i started and finished a book. its really good, you should read it. Scrambled Eggs at Midnight, by Brad Barkley and Heather Hepler.

i really like happy endings. i like knowing that everything turned out all right, and that everybody is okay. one time for my friends birthday, we went and saw Ms Pettigrew Lives For a Day. i thought it was cute and thoroughly enjoyable. but some of my friends were saying how predictable it was and how it is so unlikely for things to actually turn out in the end. it might be unlikely, but i think its better that way. i have hope.

the other day i went to my friend's grandparent's house. the pictures are from there. it was fun. we even had a bird funeral. so we were watching a movie, and this bird just flies straight into the sliding glass door. it makes this huge thud. and it lies there on the deck, dead. it was pretty sad, but at the same time you felt like you wanted to laugh. we thought that it might be a warbler (a type of bird) and so we named it willie the warbler. it even has a little tombstone. pretty exciting.

and smiles to the night

today was really hot. my cousins came over and we went and swam at the pool. it felt good, but it was really crowded. so we left and came home. my house has air conditioning, which is nice and cool. i actually don't really like air conditioning, it makes it cold. okay that sounds really funny, but i guess i just prefer open windows and fans. and then later i had to go to soccer practice. it was very hot, and we were all sweating a ton. i think though that i prefer the heat to being cold. i definitely like summer more than winter.
okay you should listen to this song. its called graveyard girl by m83.
this video of it is really cool. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=At5Skz8C6Dg

i'm in los angeles today

finally. pictures from the death cab for cutie concert.

and refused to fall, to fall

as of lately i have been quite bored. mostly i have just been sitting at home, and hanging out with my brother. summer is my favorite season, and i really enjoy being able to wear shorts and a tee shirt all the time. but i really miss all of my friends. so i actually look forward to going back to school because i will be able to see everybody again.

Tuesday, July 21, 2009

i need you so much closer

so the other day i went to see death cab for cutie. it was amazing. it was the second time that i have seen them in concert, but this might have been more exciting because i was with my friends, jee young, alison, patrick, nick, becca (i don't know her very will though) and alex, my friend from camp. it was awesome because we were about five feet form the stage and, right in the middle. me and jee young got there early, but it was definitely worth it. RaRaRiot was the first opener, and they were really good. it was cool, they had an electric violin and an electric cello. then the New Pornographers came out, and they were also really good. then finally Death Cab for Cutie came out. they have always been one of my most favorite bands. i remember listening to soul meets body on the radio, back when i was in sixth grade. i still love that song. it was funny because ben gibbard kept saying, "and we are Death Cab for Cutie", as if we don't know the band, that we all came to see, and are all excited about. i really enjoy living in an area that has such a great music scene.
and i really enjoy going to concerts. when all you can hear, and all you can feel is music. and you can feel the beat thrumming through your whole body. such an incredible feeling, like nothing else. and you look at all the people around you, and you know that they feel it too.
i took a ton of pictures, but i have ahad no time to get them on the computer. but when i do i will post them up here.

when it started we had high hopes

harry potter was amazing.
i went to see it last night with my friends. and then the night before, we stayed up all night watching the previous five movies. it was fun, we didn't really pay attention to the movies though, and we fell asleep at seven in the morning, haha.
the sixth one was really good though, i wont tell you all about it though, in case you haven't seen it.

i was in love with the place in my mind, in my mind

camp pictures. most of the time it was wet and miserable, but it did brighten up. and we had beautiful views.
